Community Association Manager (CAM) Licensing Mandated in Colorado

Community Association Manager (CAM) licensing is now the law of the land in Colorado. HB 15-1343 became effective on May 20, 2015. All persons or entities that perform more than one community association management service to a common interest community is required to become licensed by July 1, 2015. Management services include acting with respect to an association's business, legal financial or other transactions, enforcing the provisions of the governing documents or statutes, conducting member and board meetings, administering applications for architectural review and the like. CAM practices subject to licensure do not include ministerial, clerical, accounting or maintenance functions. License renewal for 2016 is on or before June 30th.
